I loved this so much!! The personalities of Iggy and Genzou are so clear in their texting styles, and the animations are all very well done; it really mimics the experience of actually texting! The ending CG is so cute too, the characters are always so expressive! I only wish I was as suave as Genzou!

Its a very good game and i hope you come out with another one continuing the story! The only negative i can say is i didn't notice the save until i had to restart, maybe autosaves would be good. But instead of that it was amazing! A nice challenge would be 3 choices!

AHHHHH I AM GLAD LDKJALSDKFJA Hahaha I think of those instances like... moments where Genzou thinks he has said something wrong. Oftentimes this indeed was not the best thing he could have said, but there are a few unavoidable ones towards the end (like when you ask to call Iggy, for instance) that aren't actually bad but just Genzou being unsure (since he's used to accidentally saying the wrong thing aldkfjads).
LOL TECHNICALLY THE <3 IS THE WRONG CHOICE IN THAT INSTANCE. But it's not like you have to do each choice perfectly to still get the good ending, so it's also OK to pick that too (and I do find that interaction incredibly hilarious LOL) π€π

AHHHHHH I played The Game TM and im kind of shocked this is less than 1k words?? Like,,, it feels like you somehow put more words in (but in a good way!!!) because I feel like i clicked every option trying to get the good ending (I may or may not have chosen the Bad Options for Funsies first lol) and also just to enjoy Genzou's little "shit shit shit" drift across the screen
I can def tell this is a self-indulgent project bc like wow you put so much effort into everything from the gui to the visuals to the coding and workarounds of the limitations and ahhhHHHH im just impressed you just put this much work into it so fast!! Really feels like im roleplaying Genzou to talk to Iggy which feels so odd??? Because im so used to seeing things from Iggy's POV so taking on the role of Genzou somehow feels enlightening??? Also Iggy just,,, freaking out at missing Genzou's birthday makes me feel guilty for choosing the "talk about birthday" option over the "nothing" option the first go around (but also ahhhh it was so sweet how Iggy was just freaking out and Genzou's all chill about it like "no problem i get that" because Iggys' relatable as fuck in this regard and seeing Genzou react that way was just A+++)
also I really like the ending scene!! I was trying my best to get it bc i know it existed and awww it was cute!! love the use of snow particles for the atmosphere and also how the main menu changes when you get the correct option (and the little visual changes like when Genzou calls Iggy or goes "shit shit shit" like gfhjgfhj im a sucker for the effort you put into this ahhhHHHH)
(also!! just as a PS!! if you're worried about the web version breaking i played through on that edition and it works perfectly!! didn't encounter any problems whatsoever ^^)

Also there are some places where I use variables for repeated/looped parts, which helped a bit, too. I painstakingly kept track of the words in a Gdoc as I was going and had to keep editing down some parts or deleting the extraneous word here and there so I could expand on other parts that felt like they needed more weight alkdjfad The forced pauses also make things feel a bit longer in general perhaps,,, π€

It was a really wholesome experience, and as someone who has played the base game, it was nice to get some more Genzou and Iggy content! I also managed to get the good ending the first try, but I will say that it's probably because I started responding similarly to how Genzou and Iggy usually interact in Our Wonderland. When you know Iggy a little better, you discover generic dating sim strat number #5 is not the way to go, so that helps with the interactions a little.
The game, despite being as short as it was, was extremely enjoyable, and I'm really happy I played it. :)

A really sweet tale to experience, not been in a predicament like this myself in person but I can only imagine how people feel when they have certain feelings for someone that they want to convey, but they do not want to come across too direct without feeling that they are going to hurt them in any way. The "sh*t sh*t sh*t" that appear on the screen works for both the character in game, but also as a game mechanic to convey to the player that a possibly bad choice was made in the multiple choice scenarios. Got both endings and hunting for the good outcome was well worth it to see what happens. Lovely game and makes me want to check out Our Wonderland even more now. Thank you Carrot! ^o^

i finished both the endings and i gotta say the game is really nice. it was kinda refreshing to see the characters from our wonderland just living their daily lives without all the horrors from the main game, it helps understand their dynamic a little better. i think you also nailed the writing - the game is really short and consists (mostly) of only text messages, but it was easy to understand what kind of characters they were and the relationship they had - genzou's awkward half-flirting half-jokes, and iggy struggling to stay in touch with him (and being confused with his identity). also i love that "shit shit shit" appears all over the screen when genzou thinks he did something wrong, i wonder if that was also going through his head during the events of our wonderland lmao. the art is still probably one of my favourites also. good job with the game, looking forward to the next projects <3

OMG THIS IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE, I CAN'T EVEN SDKJGBSDKJGB!!!! I just love how, even without the colors assigned to them, you can still tell who's talking. They're both so real, I definitely feel close to Iggy in the sense of being afraid of getting hurt so, then, pushing the potential crush away before anything "starts" (not to mention his struggles with keeping in contact). And I feel close to Genzou in his awkwardness of trying to be funny and trying to make the person he cares about like him. Also, gosh, the way the screen would say SHIT SHIT SHIT every time Genzou felt he screwed up was so damn funny xD

I loved this so much!! The personalities of Iggy and Genzou are so clear in their texting styles, and the animations are all very well done; it really mimics the experience of actually texting! The ending CG is so cute too, the characters are always so expressive! I only wish I was as suave as Genzou!

Its a very good game and i hope you come out with another one continuing the story! The only negative i can say is i didn't notice the save until i had to restart, maybe autosaves would be good. But instead of that it was amazing! A nice challenge would be 3 choices!

AHHHHH I AM GLAD LDKJALSDKFJA Hahaha I think of those instances like... moments where Genzou thinks he has said something wrong. Oftentimes this indeed was not the best thing he could have said, but there are a few unavoidable ones towards the end (like when you ask to call Iggy, for instance) that aren't actually bad but just Genzou being unsure (since he's used to accidentally saying the wrong thing aldkfjads).
LOL TECHNICALLY THE <3 IS THE WRONG CHOICE IN THAT INSTANCE. But it's not like you have to do each choice perfectly to still get the good ending, so it's also OK to pick that too (and I do find that interaction incredibly hilarious LOL) π€π

Like,,, it feels like you somehow put more words in (but in a good way!!!) because I feel like i clicked every option trying to get the good ending (I may or may not have chosen the Bad Options for Funsies first lol) and also just to enjoy Genzou's little "shit shit shit" drift across the screen
I can def tell this is a self-indulgent project bc like wow you put so much effort into everything from the gui to the visuals to the coding and workarounds of the limitations and ahhhHHHH im just impressed you just put this much work into it so fast!! Really feels like im roleplaying Genzou to talk to Iggy which feels so odd??? Because im so used to seeing things from Iggy's POV so taking on the role of Genzou somehow feels enlightening??? Also Iggy just,,, freaking out at missing Genzou's birthday makes me feel guilty for choosing the "talk about birthday" option over the "nothing" option the first go around (but also ahhhh it was so sweet how Iggy was just freaking out and Genzou's all chill about it like "no problem i get that" because Iggys' relatable as fuck in this regard and seeing Genzou react that way was just A+++)
also I really like the ending scene!! I was trying my best to get it bc i know it existed and awww it was cute!! love the use of snow particles for the atmosphere and also how the main menu changes when you get the correct option (and the little visual changes like when Genzou calls Iggy or goes "shit shit shit" like gfhjgfhj im a sucker for the effort you put into this ahhhHHHH)
(also!! just as a PS!! if you're worried about the web version breaking i played through on that edition and it works perfectly!! didn't encounter any problems whatsoever ^^)
LKJAFLDSKFASDLF IT DOES FEEL LIKE A LOT IG. It could be because I tried to squeeze as much as I could into shorter texting-format phrases. Also there are some places where I use variables for repeated/looped parts, which helped a bit, too. I painstakingly kept track of the words in a Gdoc as I was going and had to keep editing down some parts or deleting the extraneous word here and there so I could expand on other parts that felt like they needed more weight alkdjfad The forced pauses also make things feel a bit longer in general perhaps,,, π€

It was a really wholesome experience, and as someone who has played the base game, it was nice to get some more Genzou and Iggy content! I also managed to get the good ending the first try, but I will say that it's probably because I started responding similarly to how Genzou and Iggy usually interact in Our Wonderland. When you know Iggy a little better, you discover generic dating sim strat number #5 is not the way to go, so that helps with the interactions a little.
The game, despite being as short as it was, was extremely enjoyable, and I'm really happy I played it. :)

A really sweet tale to experience, not been in a predicament like this myself in person but I can only imagine how people feel when they have certain feelings for someone that they want to convey, but they do not want to come across too direct without feeling that they are going to hurt them in any way. The "sh*t sh*t sh*t" that appear on the screen works for both the character in game, but also as a game mechanic to convey to the player that a possibly bad choice was made in the multiple choice scenarios. Got both endings and hunting for the good outcome was well worth it to see what happens. Lovely game and makes me want to check out Our Wonderland even more now. Thank you Carrot! ^o^

I had to do it three times to get the good ending and the first two times really hurt (well especially the first one since I thought I'd get the good ending)! Very cute anyway, I didn't know the original game and I kinda want to play it now so I get to spend more time with the characters.
OMG I'M SO SORRY IT TOOK YOU A WHILE LDAKJFALKDF It's true not all the choices are super obvious,,, and they also sometimes go against what you might think you should do because it's better to be like, patient and not quite so forward π€£π¦ Though you don't need to get ALL the right choices, just enough of them. And then also the two ones at the end though do need to be right (leading up to the call I mean).

(I don't always know how those who haven't played the main game will respond to the chars lkfajd) That's really sweet ahhhh. If you do end up playing the main game, I hope you'll like it! It's a rather different vibe LOL given that it's horror and rather intense while this is like a cozy little feelsy game hahaha. But it does have a lot of these two along with some sweet moments (and lots of figuring out to do in Iggy's case LOL).

i finished both the endings and i gotta say the game is really nice. it was kinda refreshing to see the characters from our wonderland just living their daily lives without all the horrors from the main game, it helps understand their dynamic a little better. i think you also nailed the writing - the game is really short and consists (mostly) of only text messages, but it was easy to understand what kind of characters they were and the relationship they had - genzou's awkward half-flirting half-jokes, and iggy struggling to stay in touch with him (and being confused with his identity). also i love that "shit shit shit" appears all over the screen when genzou thinks he did something wrong, i wonder if that was also going through his head during the events of our wonderland lmao. the art is still probably one of my favourites also. good job with the game, looking forward to the next projects <3

I had a lot of fun writing their interactions and thinking about how they might text but also had to mind the rules of the jam and the 1000 word limit (I really wish I could have made it longer as I would have loved to have even more situations... maybe in the future who knows) so I was also a bit worried and hoped I'd still be able to get enough across for people to enjoy it and their dynamic. LMAO THE SHIT ON THE SCREEN it is one of my favorite parts I'll be honest... it just felt too real for Genzou... he is trying his best even when it's hard for him LOL I-... I would honestly not doubt that that's also going through his head through most of the main game as well, all those times he feels awkward or regrets something he said/thinks he said something wrong LOL

Such a sweet game with great use of the jam limitations to its advantage! I loved how natural and personalised the dialogue felt and was ooh-ing and aah-ing at the little UI and scripting animations throughout! I hope they did manage to get more than McDonalds that night π

OMG THIS IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE, I CAN'T EVEN SDKJGBSDKJGB!!!! I just love how, even without the colors assigned to them, you can still tell who's talking. They're both so real, I definitely feel close to Iggy in the sense of being afraid of getting hurt so, then, pushing the potential crush away before anything "starts" (
not to mention his struggles with keeping in contact). And I feel close to Genzou in his awkwardness of trying to be funny and trying to make the person he cares about like him. Also, gosh, the way the screen would say SHIT SHIT SHIT every time Genzou felt he screwed up was so damn funny xDIt's really sweet how you get the good ending by being patient and loving Iggy as he is T__T it's so sweet AAAAHHH!!
