Rapid-Fire Releases and Me Being a Horrible Dev
Easter » Devlog
Sorry about the two new rapid-fire releases between... just now and last night. I was doing some of my usual weekly clean-up last night and tweaking or fixing small issues people were finding in videos or reporting and feeling good about myself, then a new report this morning privvied me to the fact that I accidentally introduced a new bug while fixing some things.
Sorry about that.
Anyway, I fixed that this morning and wanted to get the new fixed version out immediately as the quirk actually keeps people from being able to get out of the default ending. Everything should be good now, but of course, please let me know if you spot anything else. I'm a horrible dev, lol.

Hi, I am having a problem with the controls with the game. I had downloaded this on my laptop and it was working fine, but I then decided to play it on my other pc. This required me having to download the game again and all of that. When I tried to play it on the pc, Easter would move left if I didn't press any buttons. I know it isn't a problem with the keyboard because I opened up a different game and it worked perfectly. I deleted the original file for the game on the pc and tried to redownload it but it still wouldn't work. I am still not sure whether or not this is my computer personally (it is a Windows 10) or if it is the game. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Now that is a really weird bug that I've never heard of before. I also use a Windows 10 machine and have never experienced it before, so I don't think it's the OS per se. Which version of the game did you play on your laptop and which version are you trying to play on your PC? I can try to investigate, but I'll have to try and recreate the problem if I can...
I used the latest version available (I downloaded it two days ago) from the main download page on both my laptop and pc, so it should be the same version running on both.
Hey, I have been testing now on a couple different machines, some with built-in keyboards and some with USB-connecting keyboards, and for the life of me, I can't seem to recreate this error. Is there anything more you can tell me about your keyboard perhaps? I'm almost positive it's not anything to do with the OS, so I can only guess the game is reacting strangely to your specific keyboard.
I also tried looking up to see if this problem occurred for anyone else playing RPG Maker games, and I did find this forum post:
https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/player-keeps-moving-left.37434/
It recommends unplugging every single USB connected to your computer. Turning it off and back on. Plugging them back in. And then trying to open the game. It worked at least for the person here, so if it does turn out to be the same issue, it might work for you, too.
I know the keyboard I used was rather old, so it might just be the keyboard itself honestly. I wasn't sure whether or not this would be a common problem, but thank you anyways! Also, I have been playing the game on my laptop, and it is honestly amazing! Sorry if I bugged you!
